Our Publishing Philosophy
A Collaborative Publishing Model
Shawmut Peninsula Press is an independent publisher committed to serious literature and long-term cultural presence.
We do not charge authors to publish their books. While we do not offer advances, our royalty structure is competitive with other independent presses.

Because we are small, we work closely with our authors at every stage of the publishing process—from editorial refinement to cover design and marketing strategy. Our size allows us to provide individualized attention and to take risks on distinctive voices and unconventional perspectives.
