Provincetown Stories

Russ López
Provincetown Stories showcases the eccentric residents and unconventional visitors of Ptown as well as the beautiful landscape of Cape Cod. Here, big drama is stuffed into a crowded, three-block-wide, three-mile-long community where zany happenings sprawl out across its clubs, streets, beaches, and waters.
Reflecting how and why Provincetown is so different and compelling, the book brings to life unforgettable characters such as Aurora, the town’s comforter of the heartbroken; Jackson, the demon twink who only thinks of himself; Cee, a gentle soul seeking a place where no one persecutes them; and Luna the immortal, who keeps the town from dissolving into chaos. Some stories will make you laugh, others are serious or touch on important issues, but central to all is the stunning natural environment and the special mix of people who live in and visit this unique place.
In this collection of short stories, López captures the spirit and details of life in Provincetown. Reading this book, you can feel the sun and hear the waves while you immerse yourself in the exuberance of this special place.
